Start with a place, not a rule.

Care comes before ritual.

Keep stones away from prolonged strong sunlight, heat, water, and chemicals unless the seller provides specific care instructions. GIA notes that excess light and heat can affect some gems, including amethyst. For mixed collections, gentle dusting with a dry soft cloth is a simple starting point.

Do not put display stones in drinking water or ingest them. Keep small pieces and sharp points out of reach of children and pets. Handle clusters carefully and give round stones a stable stand.
