One page before noon
Sam stops planning the whole project and finishes its first useful page.

Sam's story
Sam had promised to design a small poster for the neighborhood reading night. The first idea became five layouts, then a folder of type samples, then a list of questions nobody had asked. By Monday the page was still blank. Each time Sam sat down, the whole project arrived at once: print size, colors, approvals, and whether anyone would like the finished thing.
They moved every reference sheet to the end of the table and left one page in front of them. A green-violet fluorite stone sat near the pencil case. Sam liked how the colors met without becoming one flat shade. It suggested a way to think about the work: not one giant answer, but smaller choices that could sit beside each other. They drew a title, a date box, and enough space for the location. Then they stopped, even though the colors were not chosen.
That afternoon Sam sent the rough page to the organizer with one question: “Is this the information people need?” The reply was simple: yes, and the doors opened at six. Sam added the time. The poster was not finished, but the work had become a page another person could answer, and the next task was smaller.
Give the project one page
No special outcome is promised. This is simply a practical way to give the moment your own meaning.
- Write the smallest useful result someone else could look at.
- Clear enough space to make that one piece without solving the whole project.
- Share the draft with one precise question, then choose the next small step.
